Add Image from PC Add Image from Media Library The ‘Media Library’ stores all of the images uploaded to your site in one place–making it easy to access images in the future. To add an image to a post or a page that is already in the ‘Media Library’ place the cursor where you want the image to display and click the ‘Add Media’ button. Use the ‘Add Media’ button to access the ‘Media Library’. The ‘Insert Media’ screen will appear giving you the option to ‘Upload Files’ or click the tab that says ‘Media Library’ and all of your previously loaded media files will appear. Simply select the image you would like to insert into the post and options for editing the image will show to the right of the Media Library. Edit ‘Attachment Details’ of the selected image. Once you have the ‘Display Settings’ adjusted the way you like, click the ‘Insert Into Post’ button. Your image will show in the post giving you an idea of what it will look like when published. If you want to replace an image that is in one of your posts or pages, click on the image and select the ‘Delete’ icon. The cursor will replace the image giving you the option to drop a new image in its place by clicking the ‘Add Media’ button. Click the ‘Delete’ icon and the cursor will hold the place of the image. Under the ‘Media Library’ tab, in the ‘Insert Media’ screen, select an image by clicking on it. Options to adjust the details and display settings will appear. When you are happy with the image settings click the ‘Insert Into Post’ button. To upload a replacement image, from the ‘Upload Files’ tab drag an image over the browser and drop the image where it says ‘Drop files anywhere to upload’. When the file is added click the ‘Insert Into Post’ button. Drag a file from your computer into the browser. Once you have successfully replaced your image you can preview the changes by clicking ‘Preview’ in the ‘Publish’ module, or click update to make your changes go live immediately. Delete an Image This ‘Deleting Images’ tutorial covers: Removing images from posts and pages Permanently deleting an image Deleting a group of images Having full control over what images display where and what media files are stored on your server are valuable assets when managing a website. Removing an image from a post or a page can be done by going to the post or page editor, hovering over the image you would like to remove and clicking the ‘ב icon that appears in the corner of the image. If the image was uploaded to the site, removing the image from the post or page will not delete the image from the ‘Media Library’. Deleting an image from a post does not remove it from the ‘Media Library’ To completely delete an image from your ‘Media Library’, click media in the dashboard. From here you can hover over an image and the ‘Action Menu’ will appear giving you a ‘Delete Permanently’ option. It is important to note that images ‘Deleted Permanently’ from the ‘Media Library’ are not moved to a trash can–if you do not have your images saved in another location you will not be able to recover the deleted files. You can permanently delete multiple media files at once by selecting the files you want to get rid of and from the ‘Bulk Actions’ drop-down menu choosing ‘Delete Permanently’. Select several images and use the ‘Bulk Actions’ menu to delete more than one image at a time.
