Make sure the title of your page accurately reflects the name of your school. Be sure to use the full name of the school.
Make sure the logo area has your school logo, not Kids at Hope or other logos. This area is your chance to establish a recognizable logo..use it to establish a personal connection to your visitors.
Make sure your cover image is up to date. The best thing to have here is pictures of students (with proper permissions) or a stock photo of students. This is not an area for advertising the latest event, etc. It should not change. This is your brand and should be recognizable. If it changes all the time, it’s not recognizable.
Setup an app. You must have an app setup in order to use any of the integration tools for your website or Facebook. Howto: Setup a Facebook App Yes it’s daunting. I can set this up for you if you request it.
Add a Facebook widget to your website. How to: Setup your Facebook Page Plugin
Make sure the information under “About” is up to date (address, phone number, etc.) Please include ALL information in this area.
Make Facebook beautiful. Don’t autopost from Twitter to Facebook It makes your Facebook very ugly.
