The dashboard is essentially the control panel for your website.

Dashboards can be accessed by logging into your school website address with /wp-admin/ added to the end of the url. For example:

(login to Manatee Academy’s dashboard)

Logging In

Login with your network username (only the first portion, leave off the @stlucieschools.org part) and password.

If you lose the link for your school’s website, the list of school login links can be found on the District Website under Employees on the right under the “Website Resources” section.

Dashboard

Navigation

The first screen you see when you log into your blog is the Dashboard of your administrative area.

Your dashboard provides a quick overview of what’s happening with your blog while also supplying tools to navigate to other areas of your Administration panel.

Your navigation menu is on the left side of your Dashboard. Each navigation item can be expanded or collapsed to view their sub-menu by clicking on the arrow on the right hand side of the item.

Click on the Dashboard link at the top of the navigation menu to return to the dashboard area of your blog when you are on any page within your administration panel.

Toolbar

The Admin Bar, is a small bar at the top of your screen that’s present both when viewing the live version of your website and when browsing the admin panel (assuming you’re logged in).

Regular visitors to your site will not see the Toolbar. But if you’re logged in, you’ll see a floating bar like this on every page on your site:

You can use the various menu options on the Toolbar to quickly perform actions, no matter where you are on your site.
